Malaysian-based e-commerce company MilkADeal uses Sleek as Singapore compliance partner

Founded by Shaun Lee and Wilson Quah, MilkADeal Cashback (MilkADeal) is a cashback platform in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. When founded in 2011, it was a daily deals website but it shifted towards cashback (literally, getting cash back for purchases with selected brands) in 2015.
Shaun says, “It is as simple as it sounds – we reward users for shopping online through our website.” There is a wide range of brands available on MilkADeal’s website where users can shop and get a certain amount of money back (cashback rates vary from RM50 per booking to 10% of your purchase value).
“You can literally buy anything! You ask for it, and we have it. Your cashback will get tracked within two days at the latest. With brands having different return policies, you will receive your cashback within 1-2 months”, said Shaun.
MilkADeal gets paid by the stores on their platform, every time someone visits them through the website and makes a purchase. Instead of keeping it all to themselves, they decide to give a (significant) portion back to the customers, “It brings us joy to know that we are able to help, even if it is just a little bit”.
Trusting Sleek’s services
Shaun knew Adrien Barthel, cofounder of Sleek beforehand. Adrien had shared with him about Sleek and the services it was providing. Shaun adds, “Expanding into Singapore was always on our list and we were happy when the expansion took place. It increased our brand awareness in two great markets!”
Shaun said, “Back then, I was with another company secretary firm. After some time we realised that they were not up to our expectations. For example, they were very manual – we had to go through our emails every time to find particular documents. After awhile, I realised it was time to change… and that is when I decided to switch over to Sleek.”
When asked about the change from his previous company secretary to Sleek’s company secretary services, Shaun adds, “One thing I really like is the online dashboard. It is complete! From the mailroom to e-signatures, it has it all. Everything is organised, too – I love that I don’t have to keep searching through my emails to find what I am looking for.”
Shaun has since incorporated two additional companies through Sleek and used Sleek as the company secretary for both.
“I usually communicate with Anna and Diana from the corpsec team. If there are any issues, they explain it really well and are always willing to help. Thanks to the other services that Sleek provides, Diana is the nominee director for one of my new companies!”
